This is a high-fidelity floorstanding loudspeaker from the Bowers & Wilkins (B&W) CM Series, specifically model CM9. The unit features a premium wood veneer finish in a dark walnut or similar deep brown wood grain. The rear view shows a distinctive Flowport™ bass reflex port, recognizable by its dimpled ‘golf ball’ texture designed to reduce air turbulence and port noise. Below the port is a recessed terminal panel containing four gold-plated binding posts, which are currently joined by factory metal bridge plates for single-wiring, though they support bi-wiring or bi-amping. The label identifies the speaker as the CM9, specifying a power handling of 200W at 8 ohms and displays the serial number 0006449. The cabinet is mounted on a thick, black-painted wooden plinth base for stability. The overall build quality is exceptional, indicative of the mid-to-high-end audio market from the late 2000s to early 2010s. Condition-wise, the wood veneer appears well-maintained with tight seams, though there is visible dust accumulation in the crevices of the terminal panel and port. The black plinth shows some surface dust and minor debris, typical of floor placement, but no structural damage or significant delamination is apparent in this view.
