United States Morgan Silver Dollar (Carson City Mint)

This is a partial reverse-side view of a Morgan Silver Dollar, an iconic American coin minted between 1878 and 1921. The coin is composed of 90% silver and 10% copper, possessing a distinct metallic luster with a light grey patina on the fields. The focal point of this image is the eagle with outstretched wings, clutching an olive branch and arrows in its talons. Crucially, the 'CC' mint mark is visible positioned above the 'DO' in 'DOLLAR', signifying production at the Carson City, Nevada mint. The edge displays a beaded border (denticles). In terms of condition, the coin shows moderate wear on the high points of the eagle's breast feathers and wingtips, though the feather definition remains relatively sharp. There are several small contact marks and scratches scattered across the field, typical of bag marks from storage. The coin appears to be in an Extremely Fine (XF) to About Uncirculated (AU) grade.
