This is a fine Lalique Paris 'Sultane' covered box, a contemporary design that pays homage to René Lalique's Art Deco heritage. The piece consists of a globose, clear crystal body supported by small decorative feet, featuring four large, amber-colored molded crystal fins or 'ribbons' that rise vertically along the sides. These amber elements feature a sophisticated cross-hatched or 'gaudron' texture that creates a brilliant play of light. The top of the box is fitted with a matching clear crystal lid. The clear sections exhibit a high-polish finish, while the amber components provide a rich contrast. A prominent 'LALIQUE Paris' rectangular label is visible on the upper shoulder of the vessel, indicating a modern production period, likely Late 20th to Early 21st Century.
