Spode Botanicals Lavender Transferware Plate

This item is a decorative dinner-sized plate from the Spode 'Botanicals' collection, featuring a classic lavender or lilac-toned transferware design on a white ceramic body. The central well of the plate is adorned with a large, intricate floral spray depicting lilies and smaller blossoms against a finely textured, cross-hatched background. This central medallion is framed by a double-beaded border. The wide rim, or marli, features a continuous scroll and floral garland motif that echoes the central theme. The plate has a scalloped edge which adds a refined, traditional aesthetic common in English earthenware from the late 20th century. Based on the Spode 'Botanicals' series, this piece likely dates from the 1990s to early 2000s. The transfer application is crisp, showing High-quality craftsmanship with consistent tonal depth. Regarding condition, the glaze appears bright with a high gloss finish, though some overhead light reflections are visible.
