Football-shaped rhinestone pendant necklace

This piece of costume jewelry features a slender, flexible metal chain in a dark gunmetal or blackened silver finish, paired with a distinct sports-themed pendant. The pendant is shaped like a football, designed with white enamel or resin stripes running across its curved surface to mimic the laces and grip bands of an American football. The body of the pendant is densely encrusted with small, round, faceted purple or royal blue rhinestones set into a dark metal base. There are no visible maker's marks, stamps, or hallmarks discernable from the photograph, meaning the exact manufacturer and period of production are unverified. The owner has provided context by describing the item simply as a necklace, which is visually confirmed by the image. The construction quality appears typical of modern fashion jewelry, utilizing base metals and glued-in stones rather than precious metals or fine gemstones. The condition exhibits some minor surface wear and slight tarnish on the bail connecting the pendant to the chain, consistent with casual pre-owned use. Stylistically, the piece appears to belong to modern sports-themed fashion accessories, though without maker stamps or packaging, any specific brand attribution remains purely speculative.

Based on what I can see in the photograph, I have evaluated this sports-themed fashion necklace featuring a dark gunmetal finish chain and a football-shaped pendant encrusted with purple or royal blue rhinestones and white enamel stripes. Per user submission, the item is described simply as a necklace. I can't verify from a photo the exact metal composition, stone quality, or presence of maker's marks, as the image lacks the clarity required for such assessment. The construction appears typical of modern mass-produced costume jewelry utilizing base metals and glued elements, and the condition shows minor surface wear and slight tarnish on the bail. The estimated value range of $25 to $50 assumes the piece is intact and wearable as fashion jewelry. However, this estimate is based purely on visual inspection and general market demand for novelty sports accessories. Because there are no visible hallmarks or maker's marks, any potential brand attribution remains entirely speculative. If physical inspection were to reveal this as a designer-signed piece from a known fashion house, the value could potentially be higher. Conversely, if it is evaluated strictly as generic, unbranded modern costume jewelry or a reproduction, the value would remain at the lower end or drop to $10-20. To provide a more robust evaluation, I would need physical inspection to check for stamps, test metal and stone properties, and assess overall craftsmanship.
