Vintage Milk Glass and Brass Table Lamp

This is a vintage milk glass and brass table lamp, likely dating from the mid-20th century. The lamp features a distinctive multi-lobed or stacked gourd-shaped body crafted from translucent white milk glass. The glass sections are encircled and accentuated by elaborate, ornamental brass-toned metalwork, forming decorative scroll motifs, particularly visible around the widest section of the body and between the stacked segments. The metalwork displays a dark, aged patina, suggesting either bronze or brass that has tarnished over time, or originally had a darkened finish. The lamp stands on a circular, stepped brass-toned base, which also exhibits a similar aged patina. The top of the lamp neck, leading to the light socket and harp fitter (which holds the lampshade, not included), is also made of the same patinated brass-toned metal. A modern-looking LED light bulb is currently installed in the E26 screw-in socket. The electrical cord appears to be an older, possibly original, cloth-wrapped cord in a dark color, bundled with blue electrical tape. There are no immediate visible signs of major damage such as cracks or chips in the milk glass, but the metal components show typical wear, some discoloration, and oxidation consistent with age and use. The overall craftsmanship suggests a mass-produced item from the period, with a decorative, somewhat ornate aesthetic that aligns with Hollywood Regency or mid-century traditional styles.
