Kostume Kids Sugar Loaf Plush Doll (not authenticated)

This plush doll appears to be part of the Kostume Kids line by Sugar Loaf, featuring a soft, stuffed body dressed in a red furry animal costume with an integrated hood and bear-like ears. The doll has a molded vinyl or plastic head with painted facial features, including bright blue stationary eyes, blushed cheeks, and a smiling, slightly parted mouth with painted lips. The red furry fabric has a textured, tinsel-like fringe. A large white plush heart is sewn onto the center of the chest, prominently featuring the embroidered red text reading "BE MINE". A sheer white translucent ribbon is tied into a bow around the neck area. Attached to the right side of the head/neck is a heart-shaped paper or cardboard tag displaying branding that reads "Kostume Kids Sugar Loaf" along with smaller text reading "Collect All 9!". The physical condition appears generally clean and well-preserved, suggesting modern manufacture consistent with contemporary novelty plush toys, possibly produced for a holiday season such as Valentine's Day. The attribution rests entirely on the legible printed text on the attached heart-shaped hang tag, which serves as the primary visual indicator for the brand and product line.

Based on what I can see in the photograph, this plush doll appears visually consistent with the Kostume Kids line by Sugar Loaf, featuring a red furry animal costume, a molded vinyl or plastic head, and an attached heart-shaped hang tag bearing readable branding. However, I cannot verify materials, manufacturing origin, or true brand provenance from a photo alone; physical inspection would be needed to confirm these details. The estimated value range of $15 to $30 reflects typical secondary market behavior for contemporary novelty plush toys of this type, assuming the attribution suggested by the hang tag is correct. Condition plays an important role in this market, and the apparent clean and well-preserved state supports the upper end of this range. If the item were to turn out to be a reproduction, unbranded copy, or manufactured differently than assumed, the market value would likely decrease to a nominal $5 to $10 range. To establish full confidence regarding its production and market standing, an in-person examination by a novelty toy specialist or toy historian would be required.
