Jynx Pokemon Card (Base Set, Shadowless)

This is a vintage Jynx Pokemon trading card, specifically the Shadowless variety from the original 1999 Base Set produced by Wizards of the Coast. The card features the character Jynx (No. 124) with its original purple-skinned artwork by Ken Sugimori, which was later controversial and changed to purple in subsequent prints. As a 'Shadowless' card, it is distinguishable by the lack of a drop shadow on the right border of the character art box and a thinner font style for the HP and attack text compared to the standard Unlimited print. The card is printed on standard cardstock with a yellow border and purple psychic-type background. Regarding condition, the card is currently housed in a plastic binder sleeve. Visible wear includes silvering and whiting along the right and top edges, minor surface scratching, and a noticeable horizontal crease or mark near the top right corner of the art box. The centering appears slightly heavy toward the left side. Despite the surface wear, it retains vibrant color saturation. This specific printing represents an early production run between the First Edition and the mass-produced Unlimited sets of the late 1990s.
