Tiara Glass Sandwich Pattern Poinsettia Christmas Plates

This is a collection of 10 vintage pressed glass plates produced by the Tiara Exclusives company, featuring the 'Sandwich' pattern with a floral poinsettia holiday motif. The collection consists of three distinct jewel-tone colors: forest green, cobalt blue, and royal purple (amethyst). Each plate measures approximately 8 inches in diameter, serving as salad or dessert plates. The physical construction is thick, heavy pressed glass, characterized by a highly decorative embossed texture on the reverse side which shows through the translucent surface. The design features an intricate border of poinsettia blooms and scrolling foliage, surrounding a smooth central well. The edges are scalloped, adding to the decorative Victorian-revival aesthetic. These pieces were likely manufactured by Indiana Glass for Tiara Exclusives, a home-party plan company active from the 1970s through the 1990s. The condition appears excellent with high clarity and saturated color; however, one plate has a visible square adhesive residue or price tag mark in the center. There are no immediate signs of chips, cracks, or heavy scratching typical of dishwasher use. The craftsmanship reflects mid-to-late 20th-century American mass-produced glass techniques, known for durability and vibrant pigmentation.
