Adidas Olympic Centennial Pin Collection (1948 London and 1956 Melbourne)

This is a partial set of commemorative lapel pins from the Adidas Olympic Centennial Collection, housed in an original brushed metal presentation tin with a grey foam insert. The collection features die-cast metal pins with enamel detailing and gold-tone plating. Specifically visible are a round pin for the XIVth Olympiad London 1948, featuring the Houses of Parliament and Olympic rings, and a shaped pin for the XVIth Olympiad Melbourne 1956, which prominently displays the Adidas logo at the base. A third pin of irregular shield shape is also included, showing vibrant red and gold enamel. These pins were produced circa 1994-1996 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the modern Olympic Games. The craftsmanship is of high commercial souvenir quality, utilizing recessed enamel and polished metallic highlights. The condition appears very good to excellent, with minimal evidence of surface oxidation or enamel chipping. The tin shows very light surface scuffing but retains its structural integrity. This set is a notable example of late-20th-century sports memorabilia produced under official licensing.
