Hot Wheels 25th Anniversary Collector's Edition - Beatnik Bandit (Purple)

This is a 1993 Mattel Hot Wheels 25th Anniversary vintage-style commemorative replica of the 'Beatnik Bandit'. The die-cast vehicle features a vibrant purple 'Spectraflame' style finish, a clear plastic bubble top, and an exposed chrome-finished engine. It is equipped with 'Redline' style wheels, mimicking the original 1968 production run. The item is still sealed in its original blister pack, which features the classic 'California Custom Miniatures' aesthetic with red, yellow, and orange flame graphics. Accompanying the car inside the packaging is a plastic replica collector's button/metal badge, also a nod to the original packaging design. Regarding condition, the cardboard backing (card) shows significant signs of age and handling, including softening and curling at the corners, visible creasing across the left side and top, and some fraying/whitening of the edges. There is a noticeable horizontal crease line running through the center of the flame graphic. The clear plastic blister (bubble) appears intact without major yellowing, though there may be minor scuffing. This edition was produced to celebrate the brand's quarter-century milestone, recreating designs from the original 'Sweet 16' lineup from 1968.
