Vintage Hungarian Folk Costume Cloth Doll

This is a vintage handmade cloth doll originating from Hungary, specifically crafted by the Népművészek HTSZ (Folk Artists' Cooperative). This doll represents a female figure dressed in highly detailed traditional regional Hungarian folk attire. The doll features a molded fabric face with hand-painted details, including rosy cheeks, delicate eyebrows, and blue eyes. Her costume includes a white blouse with puffed lace sleeves, an intricately patterned bodice in pink and blue, and a white apron adorned with heavy lace trim. Underneath, she wears a floral skirt and white knit stockings tucked into iconic bright red felt boots. Her hair is dark, topped with a traditional decorated headpiece from which a pale green ribbon flows. The craftsmanship is high, utilizing various textiles such as felt, cotton, and lace. Attached is the original cardboard hangtag, which displays the cooperative name, item numbers (9018, 1/304), and 'Made in Hungary' stamp. The condition appears excellent for its age, likely dating from the mid-20th century (circa 1960s-1970s), with minimal fading and vibrant colors still present on the boots and garments.
