The glasses are constructed of clear machine-pressed glass with a flared bowl shape, a short decorative multi-tiered pedestal stem, and a flat circular foot. The primary decorative motif features a horizontally oriented turquoise blue enamel band wrapped around the bowl. Centered within this band is a detailed 22-karat gold leaf or metallic gold overlay of a paddle-wheel steamboat or riverboat, accented by stylized gold waves and scrollwork. Below the main band, a gold rectangular shield contains a Greek cross or stylized quatrefoil emblem. The rims are delicately finished with a gold band.
