The most striking feature is the heavy ornamentation of clear glass or crystal pendeloques and prismatic drops that hang in multiple tiers, designed to catch and refract light. These pear-shaped crystals are attached via small wire links, some of which show signs of darkening. Physically, the piece is suspended by a linked chain from a circular brass ceiling canopy, which is mounted against a modern plaster ceiling medallion. While the craftsmanship appears solid, there is visible dust accumulation on the crystal facets and the metal frame, suggesting it has not been professionally cleaned recently.
