This is a vintage round silver-plated serving tray featuring a detailed engraved floral and scrollwork design across the center well. The tray is constructed with a raised rim decorated with a decorative gadroon or rope-style border. It includes two ornate C-scroll handles attached to the sides, which match the rope-twist texture of the rim. The piece exhibits significant signs of age and use, characterized by heavy tarnish that has transitioned from golden-yellow to deep dark brown and black oxides around the edges. There are visible surface scratches and 'plate loss' in the center where the base metal may be showing through due to over-polishing or heavy wear.
