Vintage Marlo M.A.C. Pineapple Motif Wall Sconces or Shelf Brackets

This is a pair of vintage decorative wall-mounted sconces or shelf supports featuring a prominent pineapple motif, which is a traditional symbol of hospitality. Each piece is constructed from a combination of molded composite resin or plaster-like material for the decorative base and wrought metal for the branching arms. The front-facing piece showcases a highly detailed, three-dimensional pineapple with a cross-hatched textured body, topped with stylized metal leaves. The base is finished in a weathered, antiqued gold or bronze-tone metallic paint over a dark reddish-brown substrate. The metal arms curve upward into elegant scrolls and tapering points, suggesting a mid-century Hollywood Regency or traditional colonial revival style from approximately the late 1960s to the 1980s. The reverse of one unit reveals a flat, red-painted surface with an original gold foil manufacturer's label that reads: 'Original Designs by Marlo M.A.C. Sculpture, Inc. © 81 California'. This confirms the pieces were designed in 1981 by Marlo. Notable condition issues include visible surface wear, significant dust accumulation, and some minor chipping or paint loss along the edges of the molded resin components. The metal arms show slight surface oxidation (patina) consistent with age but appear structurally sound.
