This is a partial set of fine bone china produced by Royal Doulton in the 'Violets' pattern (H4654), which was first introduced in the mid-20th century. The collection features a distinct cream-colored translucent body with a fluted, shell-like edge texture. The decorative motif consists of delicate clusters of purple violets, yellow wildflowers, and blue berries set amongst green foliage, punctuated by a thin gold-gilded rim. The set includes large dinner plates, bread and butter plates, and footed teacups with matching saucers. The handles of the teacups exhibit a classic angular deco-influence silhouette.
