This item is a 1997 Ty Inc. Beanie Baby representing a mallard duck, named 'Jake.' It measures approximately 6 to 7 inches in length and is constructed from polyester plush fabric filled with plastic PE or PVC pellets, giving it the characteristic 'beanie' feel and weight. The coloration is faithful to an adult male mallard, featuring a deep emerald green head, a yellow-gold felt beak, a white fabric ring around the neck, a brown chest, and grey-toned wings with dark teal accents on the tail. The eyes are small, black plastic beads. Notably, the item retains its original red heart-shaped 'swing tag' attached to the wing with a red plastic fastener, as well as the white fabric 'tush tag' on the rear. The swing tag features the 'Original Beanie Baby' star logo, indicating a later 4th or 5th generation production run from the late 1990s. The condition appears excellent with no visible tears, staining, or UV fading to the fabric. The cardboard tag displays minimal creasing, which is a key factor for collectors.
