This is a substantial early 20th-century triple-section bookcase, likely Edwardian or early Arts and Crafts era (circa 1900-1915), constructed from high-quality quarter-sawn oak that displays characteristic 'tiger oak' medullary rays. The piece features a unique stepped and convex center section, with three separate glass-fronted doors. Each door is embellished with a decorative grid of twelve small square panes at the top and a larger rectangular division at the base. The woodwork exhibits a rich honey-toned finish and high-level craftsmanship with rounded vertical corner moldings. Each cabinet section contains adjustable wooden shelving and a bottom drawer accented with ornate brass bail handles and decorative escutcheons. The condition appears fair to good for its age, showing a natural patina and some surface abrasions typical of domestic use. There is a visible green price tag on the upper center door.
