Vintage Swatch 'Graffiti' (GZ121) by Mimmo Paladino

This is a vintage Swatch wristwatch, specifically the 'Graffiti' model (reference GZ121) designed by Italian artist Mimmo Paladino, originally released in 1991. The watch features a dark translucent olive-green plastic case with a matching acrylic crystal. The dial is highly distinctive, featuring a central beige square with an artistic illustration of a stylized plant or tree in dark blue with a red flower at the top, set against a background of circular turquoise and red bands. The hands are thin and gold-toned. The strap is made of a textured, woven fabric with a blue-gray base color, featuring an embroidered orange 'I' shape near the lugs. Based on the visual evidence, the watch shows significant signs of age and wear. The acrylic crystal displays heavy surface scratching and several deep cracks, particularly on the left side and over the dial illustration. The fabric strap shows fraying and deterioration at the lug connection. The 'swatch SWISS' branding is visible at the bottom of the central dial graphic. This piece represents the Swatch Art Special series, which is a significant part of the company's collector history from the early 1990s.
