Its most prominent design feature is an ornate circular band on the lid that incorporates a deep burgundy or maroon border with interlocking gold-toned scrollwork and filigree. Interspersed within this decorative border are hand-painted or decal-applied floral sprays featuring soft pink roses, and blue and yellow accent flowers with green foliage. The lid features a central knob handle and a subtly fluted surface that radiates outward to the decorative band.
