Vintage Shell Oil Lithographed Tin Tanker Truck Toy

This item is a vintage lithographed tinplate toy representing a pre-war style Shell Oil tanker truck, likely dating from the mid-20th century, approximately the 1930s to 1950s. The toy is constructed from folded and crimped light-gauge sheet metal with a multi-color lithographed finish featuring a yellow cab and tank with red fenders and roof. The iconic Shell pecten logo is clearly visible on the door of the cab. Structurally, the toy is in a heavily compromised and incomplete state, missing its entire chassis, wheels, and axles. Significant physical damage is present, including severe bending of the front left fender, a missing grill/radiator assembly, and distortion of the roofline and remaining rear body panels. The surface shows an authentic aged patina with scattered paint loss, scratches, and light oxidation (rust) consistent with heavy play wear and improper storage.
