1929 Italian 'Poste Italiane' 5 Centesimi Capitoline Wolf Postage Stamp

This is a vintage postage stamp from the Kingdom of Italy, issued as part of the 'Imperial' (Imperiale) definitive series between 1929 and 1942. The stamp is printed in a sepia or dark brown ink on cream-colored paper and features the iconic image of the Capitoline Wolf (Lupa Capitolina) suckling the twins Romulus and Remus, a symbol of the founding of Rome. The text at the top reads 'POSTE ITALIANE' and the bottom left indicates the denomination of '5 CENT.' To the right of the value is the Savoyan Coat of Arms (a white cross on a red shield) and a fasces, indicating the Fascist era of production. The stamp exhibits standard perforations along all four edges. Condition-wise, it appears to be in used condition, evidenced by a partial black circular date stamp (CDS) cancellation mark in the upper right corner.
