This is a fine porcelain cachepot manufactured by the renowned Italian firm Richard Ginori, featuring the iconic 'Galli Rossi' (Red Roosters) pattern. The vessel is constructed from a high-fire white glazed porcelain with a heavy, substantial build. Its most striking physical characteristic is the deeply scalloped or ruffled rim, which is meticulously hand-gilded with a thick gold band. The body is bulbous with two integrated gilded scroll handles on the sides. The decoration consists of iron-red and gold Chinoiserie-style motifs, specifically depicting two stylized roosters engaged in a central scene amidst oriental flora and delicate bamboo-like branches. The painting showcases a high level of craftsmanship with fine line work and varying tonal intensities in the iron-red pigment. Regarding condition, the piece appears in excellent vintage to modern state with the white glaze retaining high luster and no visible cracks or chips. The gilding on the rim and handles shows minimal wear, suggesting it has been well-maintained. This pattern is a revival of an 18th-century design originally created at the Doccia factory, characterized by its playful interpretation of Asian aesthetics.
